March 2012 Our Raised Beds

Saturday March 24 We had a work party to finish installing the raised beds . Phil McAloon and his brother Andy made all the beds from donated lumber. They look really beautiful and are 10 feet long by 4 feet wide. A host of volunteer young people came out to help fill the beds with the topsoil and compost. It was a lot of hard work but we got almost all the beds filled. Next Saturday we will have another work party to install our deer fence! It's very exciting seeing our garden take shape.
